Inaugural "Ray Stevens Charity Golf Classic" Announced for this Fall

Sep 19 | Posted by: Absolute Publicity |

Event Set for October 7 and 8 at Temple Hills Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee

Nashville, Tenn. (September 19, 2016) -- GRAMMY® Award-winning country and comedy music legend Ray Stevens has announced his inaugural "Ray Stevens Charity Golf Classic." The tournament is set for October 7 and 8 at the Temple Hills Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee. A full concert by Stevens and special guests will take place on the evening of the 7th, followed by an 18-hole golf scramble on the 8th.

"I'm looking forward to seeing lots of friends at my Charity Golf Tournament at Temple Hills in a few weeks. It should be fun doing a show in town," says Stevens. "The concert is no problem but the Davidson County Public Safety Department won't allow me to tee off within 100 yards of a highway. The folks in my foursome all dress like baseball catchers."

The event benefits GIFT (Giving in Faith Together), Augie’s Quest (ALS) and the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation.

To enter the tournament, attend the gala or become a sponsor, register here. The event will include golf (teams of 4), breakfast, lunch, prizes, a gala and silent auction. Teams are $800 or $200 per player. Separate gala tickets are also available for $50 per person. Tickets for the gala include food, drinks and admission to the Ray Stevens concert. Individual players looking to join a team, please contact Buzz Cason (buzz@buzzcason.com / 615-424-3808).

Temple Hills Country Club is located at 6376 Temple Road, Franklin, Tennessee, 37069.
