Nashville, Tenn. (September 16, 2024) — Comedy music genius Ray Stevens is at it again. Last Friday, the Country Music Hall of Famer released “The Boom-Boom Gentlemen’s Club,” available for digital download and streaming via CabaRay Records and distributed by Curb Records. Download / stream now here.
On the song, Stevens has a new musical tale to tell. “It’s all about a waitress named Ida, from Ada (Oklahoma), who goes to Tulsa to dance at The Boom-Boom Gentlemen’s Club,” explains Stevens. “It’s an upbeat tune about a girl trying to make it in a bad economy by doing what she can with what she’s got.”
“The Boom-Boom Gentlemen’s Club” was written by Nick Sibley, whose work Stevens has admired for years.
“I’ve been doing ‘The Boom-Boom Gentlemen’s Club’ song at my CabaRay Showroom every show night,” says Stevens. “I hope everyone loves it as much as my audience does.”
Though GRAMMY® Award-winning Stevens has no plans to retire, he’s currently wrapping up his final season of regularly scheduled live concert performances at his West-Nashville CabaRay Showroom. Fans can see Stevens perform live weekly shows from now through the end of the year. Tickets for Stevens’ last run of concerts at CabaRay are on-sale now and can be purchased online at raystevenscabaray.com or by calling 615-327-4630.
