Nashville, Tenn. (March 11, 2021) — The man who Rolling Stone proclaims the “honky-tonk hero,” Dale Watson, will be hosting his own half-hour concert on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country (Ch. 60) tomorrow, March 12 at 12 p.m./ET.

The live recording will take place at Watson’s own honky tonk, Hernando’s Hideaway, in Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace and inspiration behind his newly-released album, The Memphians (BFD / Audium Nashville)– his first instrumental-only project. During the show, listeners will get an exclusive opportunity to hear Watson’s new music as well as some fan favorites.

With tracks like “Agent Elvis,” “Deep Eddy,” and “Hernando’s Swang,” Watson’s new record honors the music of Memphis, the late, revered Elvis Presley, the legendary guitarist Duane Eddy, and Watson’s Hernando’s Hideaway, where Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis have both performed.

The exclusive performance will re-air on Saturday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m./ET and again on Sunday, March 14 at Noon p.m. and 9:00 p.m./ET.  For more information about Dale Watson and his new project, The Memphians, visit dalewatson.com. Purchase or stream now here

About Dale Watson

Rolling Stone declares him a “honky-tonk hero,” the Arizona Daily Sun a “honky tonk legend and purveyor of classic country,” and the Austin Chronicle a “silver pompadoured, baritone beltin’, Lone Star beer drinkin’, honky-tonk hellraiser,” and to this day, Dale Watson is still applauded as a country music maverick — a true outlaw who stands alongside Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Strait as one of the finest country singers and songwriters from the Lone Star State. Founding his own country music sub-genre dubbed “Ameripolitan” to differentiate from the current crop of Nashville-based pop country, Watson has flown the flag for classic honky-tonk music for more than two decades. The Alabama-born, Texas-raised Watson may be the hardest working entertainer today, playing over 300 shows per year, and is rapidly approaching legend status. In February 2021, Watson released his first-ever entirely instrumental album, The Memphians (BFD/Audium Nashville), that was recorded in and deeply influenced by the rich culture, history and music of Memphis, Tennessee.
